Installation of Officers Ceremonial

(Click on image to view full size)

Yesterday, the Installation of Officers Ceremonial for Council 10497 took place in the sanctuary of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. It was wonderful ceremony, with an honor guard, and the newly elected officers dressed in tuxedos or coat and tie.

The ceremony began with Worthy District Deputy Ken Lucier giving thanks and recognition to the retiring officers for the job they did the previous year. Worthy Chaplain John Molyneux would give a blessing to the newly elected officers to have wisdom, strength, and humility in their new positions. The Worthy District Deputy then called each newly elected officer to the front, and told each their responsibility and expectation, after which the newly elected officer was presented with their respective jewel, and given a blessing by the Worthy Chaplain. After each officer had been installed, the Worthy Chaplain gave his final blessing to all the newly elected officers. Our newly elected Grand Knight, Richard Anso, would share a few words on being elected as Grand Knight and his vision for the council in the upcoming year.

Pancake Breakfast

Last Sunday, our council had a pancake breakfast in the Corpus Christi gym. The usual suspects were there, Donn Keefe manned the pancake grill, Tom Langston manned the sausage grill, our Grand Knight Shawn Evans coordinated everything as well as helped set up everything along with Armand Cote, Joseph and John Grissom. Chris Sharp manned the coffee, with help from John Grissom. Jim O'Donnell was cashier. Others involved included Anthony Kushanu, Oduntan Gordon and several of his Squires, Trent Brown, and Peter Okani. I apologize to any others I may have missed. The breakfast was a success, with no dissatisfied customers.

Welcome to The Council 10497 Blog!

I started this blog as a means of disseminating information to members of The Knights of Columbus Council 10497. Anything that's relevant to our council (and not secret) will be posted here. I hope to make this a fun, as well as an informative site. I am welcome to any input you may have for this site.
